Poshmark seller fees in 2026
Listing on Poshmark is free. When an item sells, Poshmark deducts one fee from the final order price: a flat amount on cheap items and a percentage from $15.00 up. The buyer pays for shipping, and a few situational charges can come off your earnings.
| Fee | Rate | Charged on |
|---|---|---|
| Poshmark fee, sales under $15.00 | Flat $2.95 | Each order |
| Poshmark fee, sales of $15.00 or more | 20%; you keep 80% | The final order price after offers and seller discounts; not shipping or sales tax |
| Shipping | Flat $6.49 per order, paid by the buyer | Buys your prepaid USPS Ground Advantage label for up to 5 lb; never part of your earnings |
| Shipping discount | Whatever you offer, up to the full $6.49 | Deducted from your earnings |
| Overweight label | $5.00 for 5.01–10 lb, $10.00 for 10.01–15 lb | Deducted from your earnings |
| Texas Seller Fee Tax | 6.25% state tax plus your local rate | 80% of Poshmark’s fee, for sellers with a Texas return address |
| Cashing out | Free by direct deposit or check, $0.35 to PayPal or Venmo, $2.00 by Instant Transfer | Each transfer, not each sale |
Just under and just over $15.00
Because the fee jumps from $2.95 to 20% at $15.00, a slightly higher price can pay you less:
| Sold price | Poshmark fee | You receive |
|---|---|---|
| $14.99 | $2.95 | $12.04 |
| $15.00 | $3.00 | $12.00 |
| $15.05 | $3.01 | $12.04 |
| $15.06 | $3.01 | $12.05 |
Every price from $15.00 to $15.04 pays less than $14.99 does, and $15.06 is the first price that pays more. The “What should I list it at?” box above accounts for this and never suggests a price in that range.
Worked example: $40.00 jeans
You bought a pair of jeans for $8.00 at a thrift store and sell them on Poshmark for $40.00 after an offer. The buyer pays Poshmark’s $6.49 shipping, you use the prepaid label, and you cash out by direct deposit. These are the numbers the calculator above starts with:
| Sold price | $40.00 |
|---|---|
| Shipping charged to buyer | $0.00 |
| Poshmark fee (20% of $40.00) | −$8.00 |
| Payout from Poshmark | $32.00 |
| Your shipping cost | $0.00 |
| Item cost | −$8.00 |
| Profit | $24.00 |
Poshmark keeps $8.00, 20% of the $40.00 sale, and pays you $32.00. The shipping never touches your balance: the buyer’s $6.49 covers the label. After the $8.00 the jeans cost you, your profit is $24.00: a 60.0% margin.
What Poshmark’s fees are charged on
- The final order price. The fee comes out of the listing price or the offer you accepted, after any seller discount, and nothing else.
- Bundles. A bundle is one order, so it pays one fee on its total: three $10.00 items sold separately pay $8.85 in fees, bundled as one $30.00 order they pay $6.00. One $6.49 shipping fee covers a bundle up to 5 lb; any overweight cost is yours.
- Shipping. The buyer’s $6.49 buys your prepaid label, so it is never part of your earnings or of the fee. Shipping discounts and label upgrades are deducted from your earnings.
- Sales tax. Poshmark calculates, collects and remits it from the buyer’s order total. It is not deducted from your earnings.
- Tax on the fee itself, in Texas. Sellers with a Texas return address have Texas sales tax deducted on 80% of Poshmark’s fee. It shows as a separate Texas Seller Fee Tax line on each sale and in your sales report.
How to pay less in Poshmark fees
- Price cheap items around the $15.00 line. $14.99 pays you $12.04 and $15.00 only $12.00, so stay under the line or go to $15.06 or more.
- Bundle items under $15.00. Each one sold alone pays the $2.95 flat fee; in a bundle they share one fee on the total.
- Offer shipping discounts on purpose. Free shipping on a $20.00 sale adds $6.49 to the $4.00 fee and leaves you $9.51. Enter it in the calculator to see the real margin first.
- Weigh the packed box. The standard label covers 5 lb. Heavier packages need an upgrade ($5.00 for 5.01–10 lb, $10.00 for 10.01–15 lb), and 15 lb is the most one label supports.
- Skip Priority Mail boxes. Poshmark orders ship by USPS Ground Advantage, and Priority Mail packaging brings a $5.00 fee deducted from your balance. Ground Advantage boxes and mailers can be ordered free through Poshmark.
- Cash out in batches. Instant Transfer ($2.00) and PayPal or Venmo ($0.35) charge per transfer; direct deposit and checks are free.

Poshmark fee changes
- : heavier labels got simpler and cheaper, with one $5.00 upgrade for 5.1–10 lb and a new $10.00 tier for 10.1–15 lb. Labels up to 5 lb did not change.
- : shipping in USPS Priority Mail packaging started costing a $5.00 fee, deducted from the seller’s balance.
- : the Texas Seller Fee Tax began for sellers with a Texas return address: Texas sales tax on 80% of Poshmark’s fee.
- : Poshmark’s flat shipping rate dropped from $8.27 to $6.49, with orders moving to USPS Ground Advantage (2 to 5 business days) and Priority Mail packaging no longer allowed.
None of these changed the fee itself: $2.95 under $15.00, 20% from $15.00.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Poshmark take from a sale?
A flat $2.95 on sales under $15.00 and 20% of the sale price from $15.00 up. On a $40.00 sale that is $8.00, so Poshmark pays you $32.00, before any shipping discount, overweight label, Texas tax or transfer fee.
What fees do buyers pay on Poshmark?
Buyers pay the item price, a flat $6.49 shipping fee per order (one fee covers a bundle up to 5 lb) and sales tax where it applies. Sales tax is added to the buyer’s total and is not deducted from your earnings; Poshmark’s fee comes out of the seller’s side only.
Does Poshmark take a fee on shipping?
No. The fee is charged on the sale price only. The buyer’s $6.49 pays for your prepaid label, so it never reaches you and is not part of the fee. You only pay toward shipping when you offer a shipping discount or need an overweight label.
What should I list at on Poshmark to make a profit?
Use “What should I list it at?” in the calculator. To keep $20.00 after the fee, an item has to sell for $25.00; if it cost you $10.00 and you want $20.00 profit, it has to sell for $37.50. The fee is charged on the price the item finally sells for, so leave room for offers.
Why does a $15.00 sale pay less than a $14.99 one?
Because the fee switches from a flat $2.95 to 20% at $15.00. A $14.99 sale pays you $12.04; a $15.00 sale pays $12.00. Every price from $15.00 to $15.04 pays less than $14.99, and $15.06 is the first price that pays more.
Does Poshmark charge Texas sellers extra?
Yes, since October 1, 2025. If your return address is in Texas, Poshmark deducts Texas sales tax (6.25% state plus your local rate) on 80% of its fee. On a $100.00 sale at 8.25% that is $1.32 on top of the $20.00 fee, so you receive $78.68.
Does this calculator work for Poshmark Canada?
No, it uses Poshmark’s US fees. Poshmark Canada’s own Fee Policy charges a flat C$3.95 on sales under C$20 and 20% on sales of C$20 or more, and deducts GST/HST on Poshmark’s fee from your earnings at your province’s rate.
